On March 15th, 2024, a delegation from the Research and Development Division (RDD, GHS) visited the Bono East Regional Health Directorate, GHS. Led by the RDD management team, the delegation included additional staff members.

Dr. Adomako Boateng, the Bono East Regional Health Director, warmly welcomed the team. He led the team to tour around the region's impressive new edifice put up within few years of establishment, symbolizing their dedication to advancing healthcare infrastructure. Dr. Boateng also provided valuable insights into the region's healthcare landscape, highlighting evolving facilities that could be leveraged for future research collaborations.

This visit signifies a significant step towards bridging the gap between research and practice within Ghana Health Service. Dr. Abraham Oduro, Director of the RDD, expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Boateng and his team for their warm hospitality. He emphasized that this visit would strengthen the ties between research and practice within the Ghana Health Service, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes for all Ghanaians.
